board of directorsThe Board of Directors is the governing body for The Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity. Board members have a fiduciary duty to the organization as stated in our bylaws. The Board consists of five to nine Directors.
diversityTo the extent that qualified persons are available, the Board of Directors works to ensure board composition reflects the diversity of the community served by The Center.
ANNUAL FINANCIAL SUSTAINING COMMITMENT During each calendar year Board Members make a sustaining financial commitment of $1,500. There are multiple contribution channels that may be used to meet this personal commitment:

qualifications & termIndividuals aged 21 years and above may serve as members of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may set forth and emphasize other qualifications for membership and reserves the right to appoint Directors, Officers, and Agents by simple majority vote. A board term is two years beginning in January. A board member may serve two consecutive terms.

Who should applyWe look for board members with time, leadership, creative vision, professional experience, personal integrity, enthusiasm, collegiality, and financial commitment to work collectively with the other members of our board and our volunteers. We are committed to considering board members for appointment that are diversely representative of the community, have the skills and experience The Center needs to operate and be successful, and may have already participated, volunteered at, or donated to The Center.
